115 attendees on 80 chairs, tables and windowsills, 15 speakers, 300 slides projected on 20sq. meters of screen real-estate. All packed into the auditorium of Stocznia, made the 1.0 edition of IgniteWarsaw a tremendous success. We’re very happy on the organizers’ side about how it all played out, and judging by the feedback we’re getting via various channels, you liked it just as much.
Video & photos will be available shortly. Eventio is hard at work as we speak, merging images from all the cameras around the room. We’ll notify you as soon as the media are online.
We’re combing through the feedback you provided on the name cards/ballots. Plenty of it is excellent, and to address some:
- yes, we will offer more chairs, better sound, lighting & wi-fi next time,
- no, we won’t let speakers talk for 4 minutes, switch slides on their own, or otherwise tweak the format,
- we’re likely to organize the next edition in a place that has a bar too, and
- we’re sure to give you more time to interact with speakers.
The team took the weekend off – some took to saunas, others to bed, still others to their hometowns. We’re back tomorrow and start working on edition 2.0. We still don’t know what schedule will work best – somewhere between 3 and 6 months separating each edition. We already have some speaker candidates and if you feel like getting on stage next time, head over to the contact page and let us know.
Thanks for having been with us last Thursday – for your attendance, applause and appreciation. It’s the fuel that will keep the fire of IgniteWarsaw burning. Stay tuned to this blog, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter stream.
